VINCE NEIL: TOMMY LEE Still In MÖTLEY CRÜE, Band To Hit Studio In January

November 12, 2007

Forget whatever rumors you've been hearing about Tommy Lee not being in MÖTLEY CRÜE or turmoil within the band. While at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp last week, frontman Vince Neil gave MTV News the lowdown on what's happening. "Well, see what happens is, there's a press release saying that Tommy was out of the band and everybody jumped on that. But when Tommy issued his own press release saying that 'no', nobody paid attention to him. So, he was never out of the band and actually I just talked to him yesterday and I talked to Nikki a couple of days ago and we're going to go into the studio in January and hopefully have a single out by March and a tour in June." As for what the band will be working on, Vince says the album will be called "The Dirt", just like the collaborative autobiography on the CRÜE. And also like that tell-all, Neil hopes each song on the disc will tell a story from their lives. However, the group could just as easily scrap those ideas since, in Vince's own words, "Who knows, in two weeks we'll change the title."
